Meet our 2021-2022 Pharmily!

Chapter Advisors

Dr. Amee Mistry

Dr. Amee Mistry is Professor of Pharmacy Practice and has been with MCPHS University since 2006. Dr. Mistry earned her PharmD at the Albany College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 Community Practice Residency with Walgreens and MCPHS University. Since joining MCPHS is 2006, Dr. Mistry has had a practice site in community pharmacy. She values and enjoys working with patients in the community, as well as mentoring and supporting students. She became advisor for the MCPHS APhA-ASP chapter in 2007 and has the pleasure of working with numerous student leaders. She enjoys the passion, motivation and excitement that APhA-ASP student leaders bring. Through her numerous years as advisor, Dr. Mistry has supported and watched as MCPHS has won regional and national awards. It has been an honor and pleasure to serve as APhA-ASP advisor.

I truly believe that community pharmacy is the heart of our profession. And through my involvement with APhA-ASP as a student pharmacist, pharmacist, and advisor I have seen what we can do when we come together. I encourage all student pharmacists to get involved, find your passion within pharmacy, and work to enhance those skills. The benefits you will see when practicing are truly inspiring!

Dr. Phung On

Dr. Phung On earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from MCPHS University. Following graduation, Dr. On went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with a focus in Transitions of Care through the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and AccessCare, a network of Community Care of North Carolina. Dr. On is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS University School of Pharmacy – Boston and serves as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Transitions of Care at Barbara McInnis House, a medical respite for Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program.

Dr. On has been actively involved with APhA since she was a student pharmacist. She will always contribute her involvement within APhA to her professional accomplishments. When she joined MCPHS University as a faculty in 2015, she knew she wanted to serve as an Advisor of the MCPHS APhA-ASP chapter in Boston. As an Advisor, Dr. On enjoys mentoring and supporting APhA-ASP members as they seek to fulfill the purpose and mission of the MCPHS APhA-ASP chapter.

Being part of APhA-ASP is much more than just being a member of a large professional organization. You will gain experiences that you may not have experienced otherwise. Further, you will develop lifelong relationships with so many individuals you’ll meet from being involved with APhA-ASP. I would encourage all student pharmacists to take advantage of the opportunity to be part of an amazing organization.
