IPSF Student Exchange Program

APhA-ASP is the Full Member Organization representing the United States to International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF). As a member of APhA-ASP you are automatically a member of IPSF, with no additional paperwork or dues required. As the leading worldwide federation of student pharmacists, IPSF's goal is to advocate for student pharmacists and improve public health. IPSF hosts the Student Exchange Program (SEP) every summer, which is a mobility program within IPSF that gives students from all over the world a chance to experience what pharmacy means outside their own borders. The application for Summer 2022 is due on November 1st, 2021. Click here for the application form.

Student Pharmacist Writing Contest

Welcome to the APhA-ASP Student Pharmacist Writing Contest! This is an opportunity for you to develop your writing skills as student pharmacists and tell us why pharmacy is important to you. This contest is open to 3rd year to 6th year students (P1 - P4) in the professional years of the Doctor of Pharmacy program at MCPHS. Each student is only eligible for one entry. Contest entries will be open from November 1 to 11:59PM on November 21, 2021. Winners will be announced by the end of November/beginning of December.

*Award categories:

1st prize winner: $50 e-gift card

2nd prize winner: $40 e-gift card

3rd prize winner: $30 e-gift card

Winners can select e-gift cards from these options: Amazon/UberEats/Cheesecake Factory

Top 3 winners will have their writing submissions published on APhA-ASP MCPHS Boston Chapter Website and will be featured on APhA-ASP MCPHS Boston Chapter Instagram. Good luck!

Amgen Series Welcome to the Fall Semester of the Amgen Educational Outreach Program Biotech Lecture Series!⁣⁣

Amgen is an American multinational biopharmaceutical company headquartered in California. One of the world's largest independent biotechnology companies.⁣⁣

We would like to invite you to this year’s collaboration series with Amgen. This collaboration will take place every Thursday from October 7th to November 11th on Webex. Each lecture will be 40-50 minutes long with time for questions at the end and we will have 2 lectures during each session. ⁣⁣

This is an event that is shared among other universities, so we will like you to take this as an opportunity to network and share your opinions with other graduate students.⁣ ⁣

Patient Counseling Competition

Join us at our annual APhA-ASP Patient Counseling Competition from 6-8pm on November 9th, 2021 on Zoom. First prize winner will win a free registration to the 2022 APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition! Top winners will receive awards & compliments from APhA-ASP Nationals. The Competition is open to every student in all years! Yoga Session

Please come join APhA-ASP Operation Diabetes in a virtual yoga session to promote a healthy lifestyle. Active participants will be eligible to win one of three prizes. This event is November 11th at 6:30pm EST on Zoom. Click here for the Zoom link. The passcode is 371920.

Cookbook Challenge

APhA-ASP Operation Heart and Operation Diabetes will be hosting a cookbook challenge from October 25th to November 7th. Please submit your best 5 recipes by using the QR code on the flyer. Participants will receive a PDF link of the cookbook as well as a chance to win best recipe for a prize.

Self-Care Challenge

There's a higher incidence of depression and anxiety in women. Staying mentally healthy is just as important as being physically healthy! Participate in this challenge, start a new habit of taking care of yourself, and get a chance to win prizes! Click here to sign-up.

Step Challenge

Operation Heart is hosting a step challenge starting October 11th through November 12th. Weekly winners and top 3 finalists with the highest number of total steps will receive a gift card! Submit your steps by Sunday 6:00 PM each week (by Friday 11:59 PM for the last week) using the QR code on the flyer.
